Kini, Bernese bisa diinstall under Mac, dan aku sedang mencoba melakukannya, di mac mini Snow Leopard, Mac OS X 10.6.4.

Prosedurnya mengikuti:

http://www.ecgs.lu/gilles/blog/installing-bernese-5-0-on-mac-os-x-10-6/

Hanya saja, pada pelaksanannya tidak semudah yang tertulis.

So, inilah tahapannya beserta krikil-krikil yang perlu kulalui:

1. Prerequirements

Dan untuk masuk situ, perlu Apple ID🙂 so make it first! or if you forget, just klik “forget password” or furthermore, forget ID🙂 it will re-sent it to your email.

1.2 Required: Install Macports 2.0.3 or later

Untuk site yang sekaligus menjelaskan download dan install X11, Xcode dan Macports, bisa di: http://guide.macport.org/

1.3 Required: Install gfortran for your platform (Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard or Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard or Mac OS X 10.7 Lion). The compilation of the FORTRAN programs was done with “gfortran gcc version 4.6.2 released 2011-10-20″

1.4 For Mac OS X 10.5 and 10.6 – Optional: Porticus is a GUI for Macports, which makes it easier to install ports

1.5 Optional: A good text editor TextWrangler (free) here

2. Installing QT3 libraries
Diperlukan untuk BERNESE Menu Graphical User Interface (GUI)
$ sudo port selfupdate

sudo: port: command not found

What to do??

Find .bash_profile in your home directory

if you don`t have, simply type:

$ vi .bash_profile

Then hit o to add a new line,

type:

export PATH=$PATH:/opt/local/bin
export MANPATH=$MANPATH:/opt/local/share/man
export INFOPATH=$INFOPATH:/opt/local/share/info

Hit esc to end editing, and hold shift and hit zz to save.

Then quit & restart your terminal.

and then, re-source the file:

$ source .bash_profile
$ sudo port -v selfupdate

This is what it will look like:

bash-3.2$ source .bash_profile
bash-3.2$ sudo port -v selfupdate
